Ocean Dunes Golf Links is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Florence, Oregon.
Ocean Dunes was designed by William Robinson. The course opened for play in 1961.
The course is fair yet challenging under a variety of conditions. Fairways wind over, around, and thru wild dunes bordered by Gorse, Heather, Shore Pines and native Sea Grasses. Pot bunkers guarding small greens and narrow fairways serve to both confound and delight the enthusiasts who play here. And, If you're really lucky, the wind might blow - as they say in Scotland, "Nay wind, nay golf." As with any true links, the course is well drained and playable - even under the wettest conditions and year round.
This course was built on sand and it has several hills that can cause uneven lies. The wind is usually a big factor, so selecting the right club may make the difference between a par and a bogey. There are very plush greens on the course, and the terrain is rolling
The coastal climate in Florence is mild. Not too hot in Summer, and not too cold in Winter.
Blue tees: Par-71, 6,100 yards, 70.0 / 124

Ocean Dunes is not a bad little course, but the greens are slow and seem to have several different types of grass and some weeds. They are getting better, but with Sandpines a few minutes away it is difficult to choose this over Sandpines.

Beautiful location on the Oregon dunes. Many blind shots, but fun course to play.

First time on this course and it surprised me. Even though it is a shorter course it has elevation changes, lots of trees and sand and water throughout the course making for an interesting round. Since you are on the coast, the wind pops up usually around 11am and increases as the day goes on so the wind can be a big factor on a lot of the golf shots on this course.
